Obituary

Gerard W. Tardif 84, of Fulton St. died Thursday at The Holiday in Lincoln. He was born in St. Aime, PQ, Canada, a son of the late Joseph and Eugenie (Parenteau) Tardif. For thirty seven years Mr. Tardif was employed as a traffic manager, he worked for Murray Worsted and then for American Tourister, retiring in 1986. Mr. Tardif was a WWII Army Air Force Veteran. He was a member of the American Legion and the AARP.

Mr. Tardif is survived by four sisters, Rose Caron and Jeanne Belba both of Woonsocket, Simone Desrosiers of N. Smithfield, and Cecile Joly of Lincoln, and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Philippe, Paul, Harris, Eugene, and Lionel Tardif.

His funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 am. from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Sunday 3-7 pm.
