Robert H. Theroux, 68, of 547 Clinton St. died Monday. He was born in Woonsocket RI, a son of the late Omer and Lillian (Moreau) Theroux. Mr. Theroux resided in Milford, MA for many years before returning to Woonsocket. While residing in Milford, he held various positions with local businesses, including, an assembler for the Porter Shoe Co., a bartender for the Sorrento Room, running the concessions at the Milford Ten Pin, and a driver for a special needs bus in the Milford area. He was a former champion bowler. Mr. Theroux also served in the Army National Guard of RI from 1957-1965.
He is survived by a son, John R. Theroux and his wife Diane of Douglas, MA; a daughter, Maureen A. Grinnell and her husband Jeff of Millbury, MA; a granddaughter, Erin; and two brothers, Roland Theroux of N. Smithfield and Normand Theroux of Woonsocket.
Visitation will be held Monday from 9:00-11:00 am in the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket with a service in the funeral home at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at the Precious Blood Cemetery.
