Augusta,GA.- Mr. Kenneth Knight age 44, entered into rest on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2008 in the Chapel of Platt’s Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Bryan LaFavor and Dr. Roy Head officiating.
Interment will be in Westview Cemetery.
Survivors include, his wife Renee Goodman of Augusta, his mother, Madge Nelson and his stepfather, Chuck Nelson. His father the late Robert M. Knight Sr. Four brothers, Chris Knight and his wife Jo Ellen of Augusta, Bob Knight and his wife Susan of Harlem, David Nelson of Rockville, MD and Rob Nelson of Philidelphia,PA. One aunt and uncle, Thomas and Bea Anderson of Augusta. His special pal, Tex. Several cousins, nieces and nephews. Grandparents, the late Rosalie Knight and Esther Ivey.
Kenneth was a member of Crawford Ave. Baptist Church, he was employed by DHL as a courier driver since 2003.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the employees and co-workers at the Cake Factory, DHL employees and to Rhineharts, and Hospice of America.
Pallbearers will be, Derrick Collier, William Gordon, Ken Barth, Mike Arrington, Brian Taylor and Ray Bentley.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 15, 2008 at the funeral home from 6 until 9 p.m.
