Kathryn E. Mahoney, 65, of New Bedford died Tuesday March 25, 2003 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Michael J. and Catherine T. (O'Neill) Mahoney.
A lifelong resident of New Bedford, she was a communicant of St. James Church.
Miss Mahoney was formerly employed as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room at St. Luke's Hospital until her retirement.
She was a graduate of Holy Family High School and Somerville Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of Fall River Council of Catholic Nurses and Emergency Nurse Association.
Survivors include a niece; a nephew; and several cousins.She was the sister of the late Julia Sheila Mahoney and Michael J. Mahoney.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday March 27, 2003 at 10 AM in St. James Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals 495 Park St. New Bedford, Thursday 8:30 - 9:30, prior to the Funeral Mass.
