Sandra J. (Svendsen) Eaton, 48, of Norton formerly of Hopkinton died unexpectedly on Friday August 8, 2008 at Newton Wellesley Hospital in Newton. She was the former wife of John M. Eaton of Upton.
Born in Framingham, MA on April 28, 1960 she was a loving daughter of Judith L. (Reynolds) Temko of Framingham and Arthur E. Svendsen of Florida.
She grew up in Hopkinton and was a 1978 graduate of Hopkinton High School. She went on to graduate from Mount Ida College where she majored in Medical Technology and furthered her studies at Fitchburg State College and received her Bachelor’s Degree.
Sandy was a Laboratory Technician and was employed at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston. A resident of Norton for the past 8 years she formerly made her home in Hopkinton.
An avid reader, Sandy also enjoyed writing, coastal scenery and trips taken to the Islands of Maine. She was a supporter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and especially loved raising and watching her children grow up.
In addition to her loving parents she is survived by her cherished children Daniel C. Eaton and Katherine R. Eaton both of Norton. She was the dear sister of Eric A. Svendsen of Florida and Kurt D. Svendsen and his wife Julia of Maryland, also survived by her loving grandmother Louise E. Reynolds of Taunton as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Thursday August 14th from 5:30-7:30 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton.
Funeral services will held on Thursday August 14th at 7:30 P.M. at the conclusion of visiting hours at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home. Private burial will take place on Friday August 15th at the Timothy Plain Cemetery in Norton.
In lieu of flowers, Sandra’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Eaton Children’s Education Fund care of North Easton Savings Bank 25 West Main St. Norton, MA 02766
