Eleanor (Danahy) Briscoe, 84, died at home in Stoughton on Saturday Aug. 9. She was the mother of Cherie Camillo and her husband David of Brockton. Born and educated in Canton, Mrs. Briscoe lived in Avon for 48 years before making her home in Stoughton. Mrs. Briscoe worked for many years at Draper Textile in Canton and later worked as a clerk at Bob’s Department Store. When she wasn’t working she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her daughter, Mrs. Briscoe is survived by her grandchildren, Toni & Ryan Camillo. She is also survived by her siblings, Mary Kelleher of Canton, Jack Danahy of Brockton, Delores Lane of Taunton and Edward Danahy of UT as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, August 14 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Michael’s Church, Avon at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday 4-8 PM. Burial will be held at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
