Obituary

LEO J. FRENCH, JR., 74, of Louisville, passed away Friday, August 8, 2008.
He was a retired home builder of 45 years, former member of Home Builders Assoc. of Louisville, National Assoc. of Home Builders, and a veteran of the U. S. Navy Korean Conflict.
Leo was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and by his best friend “Minnie”. He will be forever in our hearts.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo, Sr. and Daisy French.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Phyllis French; two sons, Sonny French (Karen), and Jim French (Lisa); five daughters, Patty Lile (Steve), Kathy Smith (Mike), Carol Embrey (Tyrone), Pam Thompson (David); Barbara McGrath (Chip); thirteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; six brothers; four sisters; three aunts; several cousins; and many friends.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Visitation will be 1 - 8 p.m. Sunday, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Monday, and after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
