WORCESTER-George E. Vrusho, 83, of Worcester, died Saturday, August 9th in Kindred Hospital, Leicester. He leaves his wife of 57 years, Beverly M. (Hammond) Vrusho; a son, Paul E. Vrusho; a sister, Theresa August; a daughter-in-law, Patricia E. Vrusho; a granddaughter, Jessica E. Vrusho; a nephew, James M. August; a godson, James C. August; and nieces.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Nicholas S. and Helen (Fecami) Vrusho. Mr. Vrusho was employed by the Melville Corporation for 48 years until his retirement in 1989 and was a licensed real estate broker. He was a WWII U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Vrusho was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church. He enjoyed sports, vacations to Cape Cod and spending time with his family, especially with his granddaughter, Jessica.
The funeral is Wednesday, August 13th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 5 Spaulding Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday, August 12th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
