In West Roxbury, August 6, 2008 George D. died after a lengthy illness at the age of 75. He was the husband of Barbara (Busiere) Johnson. George was born in Taunton to his late parents George & Florence (Wood) Johnson. He was educated in Taunton & New Bedford schools. George has lived all of his life in Taunton. He also served his country in the Korean War in the U.S. Navy. George was employed as an electrician for IBEW local # 223. He was a member of the VFW and enjoyed traveling. George leaves his children Thomas Johnson & Laurie of Berkley and David Johnson & his wife Carmen of Taunton and Nancy Johnson of Taunton. His Grandchildren David Johnson of Taunton and Victoria & Travers Johnson both of Berkley. He also was predeased by his brother Thomas Johnson. A funeral home service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St. in Taunton on Weds., August 13th at 9am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Tues. from 5-8pm. Interment in Mayflower Hill Cemetery in Taunton. Donations in George’s memory may be made to the Charity of Ones Choice.
