Obituary

Rosario “Russ” Tardanico, passed away Sunday, at the Melrose - Wakefield Hospital in Melrose after a lengthy illness, the husband of the late Venerina (Farfarelli) he was 75 years old.

Born and raised in Boston he was the son of the late Liboria (Menzo) and Giuseppe Tardanico. Russ owned and operated a barber shop on Fulton St. In Medford for over 32 years before he retired.

He shared a close relationship with all his family and was dedicated to his faith and church, active for many years in the St. Francis Community Parish, he was the past president of the Holy Name Society and a member of the parish council. He was a proud disabled veteran of the Koren War.

Survivng are a daughter Julie McLaughlin and her husband Al of Medford, his loving grandchildren Jenelle, Roseanne and Michael.

His funeral will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford, on Thursday, March 27, at 8 a.m. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Fellsway Medford at 9. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St. Medford, MA.
