WORCESTER__ Austin J. Violette, 58, formerly of Oxford, died Monday August 4 in Jewish Healthcare Center.
He leaves his mother, Theresa (Cyr) Violette Charron and her husband, Joseph of St. Petersburg, FL, a brother, Phillip Violette and his wife, Cheryl of Weymouth; and a sister, Donna Lally and her husband George of Norwood; three nephews Matthew, Adam and Patrick and a great nephew Nathaniel. He was predeceased by his father, Herby Violette.
Mr. Violette was born in Oxford and graduated from Oxford High School and Westfield State College. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Austin was an avid Boston sports fan and golfer.
The memorial Mass will be held on Saturday August 9 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ann Church, 654 Main St., North Oxford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA, 01701.
