Obituary

Arthur A. Chambers of Wrentham formerly of Needham died on Friday March 21st at the Norwood Hospital at the age of 80. Born in Ontario Canada, Arthur grew up in Rochester NY graduating from Edison Technical School and the University of Rochester. Mr. Chambers was a Sergeant with the U.S. Army during WWII . After the service Mr. Chambers was employed by Consolidated Vacuum Company in Rochester NY for 13 years and later went Kinney Vacuum in Canton. In the early 80’s Arthur was the Vice President for M.K.S. Instruments in North Andover until his retirement in 1989. Arthur was a resident of Needham for many years before moving to Wrentham 7 years ago. Arthur enjoyed working with wood and was well known for his wooden rocking horses. These horses were made and donated to the Church Fair, giving to many family and friends and enjoyed by many other children. Arthur was the husband of Dorothy (Owen) for 55 years, loving father of Frederick O. of Exton PA, John A. of Wrentham, Daniel D. of West Boylston and Edward L. of Bellingham. Brother of Frederick J. Chambers of St. Petersburg FL. Arthur is also survived by his 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A. Memorials service will be held at the Christ Episcopal Church 1132 Highland Ave. Needham on Tuesday March 25th at 11:00 AM. Visiting hours at the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave. Needham on Monday 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers Memorials in Arthur’s memory may be made to the Christ Episcopal Church Memorial Fund 1132 Highland Ave. Needham MA 02492
