RUHAMA YERANIANRuhama Yeranian, 102, of Newton who had been a field Minister for the United Church, Board of World Ministries, died March 23, 2003 at Newton Wellesley Hospital in Newton.Born in Turkey she had lived in Newton for several years. She graduated from Oberlin College, and had a keen interest in piano and singing. She had been a longtime active member of the Central Congregational Church in Newtonville. Daughter of the late Rev. Hagop and Maico (Georgiou) Yeranian, she was predeceased by her sisters Olympia Yeranian, Heriklyea Yeranian, Christine Yeranian, Margaret Yeranian, Rosa Yeranian, and Thelma Yeranian. She is survived by her dear friends Zoe Canellakis, Cellie McCrocklin, Ellie and Dimitris Boukis, and her many friends at Central Congregational Church.A funeral service will be held on Friday March 28 at 10 AM in the Newton Cemetery Chapel, 791 Walnut St. Newton Centre. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
