Elizabeth V. (Gallagher) Kenney, 93 years old a lifelong resident of Lawrence, MA. Died on Saturday, August 2nd, 2008 at the Mary Immaculate Nursing Home in Lawrence, MA.
She was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on September 6th, 1914 to William and Agnes (Begley) Gallagher. She attended Lawrence local schools and she was a Graduate of St. Mary's High School. She worked as a Spinner in the Ayer Mill in Lawrence, MA. and she also worked in House Keeping at the Lawrence General Hospital until her retirement. According to her family Elizabeth loved the time she spent with her grand children and great grand children.
She is the wife of the late William B. Kenney for whom she was married to for 45 years. She is survived by her two sons: William F. and his wife Bessie of Methuen, MA, Joseph and his wife Patricia of Centerville, MA. Her sister Ann Brown of Columbus, MS. Her brother Robert Gallagher of Brick, NJ. Her grand children: Christina and her husband John DiBitetto and family of Bradford, MA, William Kenney and family of Methuen, MA, Joseph Kenney and family of Penacook, NH and James Kenney and family of Manchester, NH as well as 9 great grand children. And several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 11:00AM at St. Monica Church in Methuen, MA. A burial will follow in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in North Andover, MA.
