East Bridgewater- Richard F. “Dick” Allen 72, formerly of Whitman died , August 2, in Brigham & Women’s Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Judith (Stafford) Allen.
Born in Quincy he was the son of the late Charles and Dorothy (Young) Allan.
Dick served in the US Air Force from 1954 to 1955.
He worked for Micro Tool of Pembroke for 10 years and was a resident of Whitman for 18 years before his move to East Bridgewater 12 years ago.
He was a very active and founding member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Hanson where he also served as the assistant treasurer.
He loved gardening and reading.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his son Kevin Allen of Greenville, SC, his daughters Karen Lutsko of Towanda, PA, Lisa Vinsen and Heidi Denis both of Clearwater, FL, his brother John Allen of Seattle, WA, ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Arthur Allen.
His services will be held Wednesday August 6th at 11:00AM, in the Calvary Baptist Church of Hanson. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday August 5th from 4-8 PM. Donations may be made in his name to the Mission Program of the Calvary Baptist Church, 529 Monponsett St., Hanson, MA 02341
