Obituary

Alfred P. "Al" Tasch, Jr., age 43, of Lawrence, died unexpectedly on Thursday, July 31 at Lawrence General Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Paula J. (Bourassa) Tasch with whom he had celebrated a 14th wedding anniversary in May.

Al was born in Abington, PA on June 4, 1965, the son of Alfred and Lois (Lutz) Tasch of Horsham, PA who survive him. He was educated through Horsham schools and received a bachelors degree in Theatrical Production and Design at Ithaca College in New York.

Al was a service technician with Capron Lighting and Sound of Needham for eight years and previously freelanced in the lighting and sound production industry. He enjoyed fishing and baseball.

Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by his son and daughter, Peter and Allison Tasch of Lawrence; a brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Beth Tasch of Willow Grove, PA; his father and mother-in-law, Paul and Theresa Bourassa of Lowell; three sisters-in-law, Lorraine Corbeil and her husband Roy of Dracut, Doris Richards and her husband Ronald of Lowell and Diane St. Pierre of Dracut; a brother-in-law, Paul E. Bourassa of Lowell; also aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.

Relatives and friends may call at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St. Lowell on Tuesday, Aug. 5 from 4 to 8pm with a prayer service to follow at the Funeral Home at 8pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Al's memory to the Alfred Tasch Memorial Fund, c/o Capron, Inc., 278 West St., Needham, MA 02494.
