Gail A. Kenney, 61, of Londonderry, NH died Sunday July 27, 2008 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Gail was born in Medford, MA on June 2, 1947 a daughter of the late Paul E. and Virginia (Murphy) Kenney. She had resided in Londonderry for the past seven years, formerly living in Vergennes, VT. She was a 1968 graduate of the Boston School of Nursing. She had been employed as a registered nurse for the Fletcher Allen Hospital of Vermont and more recently for Bedford Family Practice, Bedford, NH. Gail held membership in the NH Oncology Association. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to travel with them. Due to her love of lighthouses and covered bridges, Gail especially enjoyed trips to Nubble Light in York, ME. She also found joy in sharing her collection of giraffe memorabilia with her family.
She is survived by her three sons, Christopher Hyldburg and his wife Coleen of Bourne, MA, Ted Hyldburg and his wife Angela of Milton, VT, Timothy Hyldburg and his wife Helen of Essex Junction, VT, her daughter, Kathryn Provencher of Lincoln, VT, seven grandchildren, Mackenzie, Travis, Delaney, Cody, Xavier, Troy and Viktoria, her companion, Richard Horne of Londonderry, two brothers, Paul “Rocky” Kenney of N. Reading, MA, David Kenney of Hebron, KY, two sisters, Paula Marsh of Weare, NH and Joan Dyment of N. Reading, also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her former husband, Edward A. Hyldburg in 2000, by her brother, Stephen Kenney and by her granddog “Maddux”.
Calling hours were held on Wednesday July 30, 2008 from 4 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Thursday at 10:00am in St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry with cremation to follow.
