Olive G. (Fossey) Nett, age 81, died Wednesday evening, July 23rd, 2008, at the Winchester Hospital following a lengthy illness. Olive was the beloved daughter of the late Myrtle L. (Irwin) & Carlton C. Fossey.
A lifelong Woburn resident, Olive has resided on the east side for many of those years. After graduating from Woburn High School, Olive worked for a few years as a telephone operator before meeting and marrying the love of her life Dominic. Olive was a friendly person who really enjoyed meeting new friends, she touched so many lives. She enjoyed the occasional puzzle, but most of all it was her loving family she cared most for. Olive will be sorely missed by all.
Olive was the beloved wife of Dominic C. Nett. Devoted mother of Dominic C. Nett Jr. and his wife Elizabeth of Winchendon, Cynthia Brown and her husband Larrie of New Durham, NH, Dorothy Thompson and her husband David of Londonderry, NH, Catherine Russo and her husband James of Shapleigh, ME, Kenneth Nett and his wife Pamela of Berlin, NH. Loving grandmother of Jennifer Collins, Joshua Collins, Melinda Moulton and her husband Jay, Stephanie Michaud and her husband Steve, Amanda Russo, James Russo, Crystal, Amber, Dylan, and Libby Nett. Loving great grandmother of Austin Smith, Cheyanne Nudd, Lucas and Kailey Russo, Kennedy and Ryleigh Michaud. Sister of the late William, Donald, Gilbert and Reginald Fossey.
Her funeral will be held from the McLaughlin-Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Monday at 9:30 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 100 Washington St. Woburn at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in Olive's name to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St., 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02210.
