Marilyn W. (Simmons) Khoury, 53, of Swansea passed away Sunday, July 20, 2008 at Somerset Ridge Center after a long courageous battle against cancer. She was wife of the late Richard A. Khoury.
Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Charles L. Simmons, Sr. and the late Pauline L. (Boardman) Simmons, she had lived in Little Compton, RI prior to moving to Swansea. Mrs. Khoury enjoyed knitting, home improvements, antiquing, gardening and doll collecting but most of all loved spending time and taking care of her grandchildren.
Survivors include a son: James Mataronas of Little Compton; a daughter: Elizabeth A. Khoury of Swansea; a brother: Charles L. Simmons, Jr. of Little Compton; 3 sisters: Susan S. L’Europa of Little Compton, Margaret S. Dellifranci of Cape Coral, FL and Laurel A. Drabble of Las Vegas, NV; 2 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, July 26, 2008 at the Potter Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10 - 11 A.M. prior to the service.
Interment will be private.
