Mrs. Elena M. Arria, age 78 of Medford MA, died Wednesday in Winchester Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Frank J. Arria. “Ellie” was born in Boston, daughter of the late Joseph and Justine (Fabiano) Cuoco. She was a Traffic Supervisor, employed by the City of Medford for more than 21 years. A family minded woman, she enjoyed occasional trips to Foxwoods, Lottery games and Wonderland Dog Track.
She is survived by a daughter Maryellen and her husband James Sampson of Medford and a son, Salvatore Arria of Medford. She was the mother of the late Joseph Arria and his wife Nancy of Derry NH. Ellie was the grandmother of James Sampson, Sherry Arria, Renee Arria and Angela Fiore. Great grandmother of 5 great grandchildren.
Loving sister of Phyllis and husband Carmen Frederico of Tewksbury, Ann Romano of Malden and Fred and his wife Lillian Cuoco of Revere. She also had 12 pre-deceased brothers and sisters.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main Street MEDFORD Monday at 10:30 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 3 – 7pm. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. - - Please omit flowers
