Parrott. Ellen Patricia “ReeRee” (Callahan) Phinney , of E. Sandwich, formerly of Marshfield and Scituate, 79 years old, died July l5, beloved wife of David Parrott of E. Sandwich, dear mother of Susan Scott of Scituate, John Phinney of Burlington, N.C, Robert Phinney of Elma, NY., Laurinda Nickerson of Marshfield, MA., Adele Phinney of Pembroke, MA. Richard Phinney of Marshfield, MA., also Scot, Brian, Stephen and Lee Parrott. Sister of Bill, John, Robert and Larry Callahan, Polly Alonso, Helen Demers, Christine Callahan and the late Alfred Callahan. Her late ex-husband was Edward Phinney. Grandmother of Phillip and Allison Crowell, Patty and Anna Phinney, Amber, Christopher and Zackary Phinney, Tabitha, Edward and Nicholas Nickerson,, Jennifer, Richard and Paul Phinney. Great grandmother of Teddy, Cassandra, Adreanna, Erin, Kasey and Marcus.
Ellen was a very talented seamstress making clothes and costumes for her children over the years. She was a member of the Scituate High School Class of l947 Reunion Committee and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post l88 Sandwich.
Funeral will be held at the MA. National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. at 2 p.m. Monday.
A small gathering is planned from 6 to 9 p.m. at the family homestead on Furnace St., Marshfield on that evening.
