Obituary

MARBLEHEAD- Viola M. (Goodwin) Jackson, 91, of Marblehead, wife of the late Robert Edwards Jackson, died Friday, March 14, 2003, following a short illness.

Born in Niagra Falls, New York, she was the daughter of the late David J. and Elizabeth (Tunstill) Goodwin.

During the 1930's, she was employed in the offices of the New York Telephone Company.

A resident of Marblehead since 1938, Mrs Jackson was a member of the St Andrews Church, Marblehead, the Salem Camera Club and the Massachusetts and National Audubon Societies. Her hobbies included photography, bird watching and gardening.

She is survived by one son, Robert Torrey Jackson and his wife Jacklyn G. Jackson of Marblehead, three grandchildren, Erik Torrey Jackson, Nils Anders Jaxon and Siri Elizabeth Wood, one great grandchild, Johdi Ashton Wood, two step-grandchildren, Edgar Doliber III, and Rachael Slattery, and one niece, Doris Kondash.

Funeral services are private. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Hospice of The North Shore, 10 Elm, St., Danvers, MA 01923.
