Hamburg, Pennsylvania-Harold F. Pratt, born March 28, 1927 in St. George, Maine to the late Harold D. and Marguerite (Stairs) Pratt, died in Reading, Pennsylvania on July 14, 2008 at the age of 81. Prior to moving to Pennsylvania he resided on Plummer Hill Road in Belmont for many years.
Prior to his retirement in 1989, Harold was employed by Weeks Dairy, Inc. in Laconia as a shop foreman for over 25 years.
Harold was a member and past Noble Grand of the Chocorua Lodge, No. 51, I.O.O.F. in Lakeport. He was also past Secretary of the Esther Rebekah Lodge No. 9 of the same order. He was a former communicant of St. Joseph Church in Laconia.
Besides his parents, Harold is predeceased by two sons, Harold F. Pratt, Jr., and Brent C. Pratt; a brother, Russell Pratt; a sister, Ruth Maxine Pease.
Harold is survived by his wife of 63 years, Arline (Hill) Pratt of Hamburg, Pennsylvania; two sons, Harold A. Pratt, II of Alabama, and Jay F. Pratt of Franklin, New Hampshire; two daughters, Jacqueline J. Fick of Tennessee, and Robin A. Pratt of Lenhartsville, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Erlaine Wilson, and Cherie Yardner both of Port Clyde Maine. Harold is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at Union Cemetery, Academy Street, Laconia at 11:00 a.m. There were no visiting hours.
