Robert Thomas Fonteyn, 63, of Londonderry, NH and formerly of Bedford, NH, died on Friday, July 11, 2008 at Parkland Medical Center. Born on January 2, 1945, he was a son of the late Robert F. and Harriet ( Fairhurst ) Fonteyn. Rob was a friendly outgoing man whose helpful nature and sense of humor touched many lives. He found serenity in nature and especially enjoyed walks in the woods, hunting, fishing and working in his garden.
Surviving include his wife, Barbara Scott of Londonderry, one son Christopher “Kit” Fonteyn of Wesley Chapel, FL, one daughter, Jennifer DuGuay of Riverview, FL.; two step daughters, Taryn Siddique of Londonderry, NH and Kirstin Kolbe of Manchester, NH. Also, surviving are six grandchildren, Caleb, Liam, Logan, Mary Jane, William, Elisabeth Joy and one sister, Arlene Ackerson of Bedford, NH.
Following cremation, a visiting hour was from 8:30 - 9:30 am on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Mark’s Church, 1 South Road, Londonderry, on Saturday at 10:00am. Inurnment was held on Monday, July 21, 2008 at 2:00 pm at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH, with military honors.
