Obituary

Pauline M. (Cataldo) Ficco, 89 of Franklin died July 10 in her summer home in Falmouth. She was the wife of the late Anthony “Tony” Ficco who died in 2002.
Born in Franklin, October 24, 1918, the daughter of the late John and Elvira (Talamini) Cataldo, Mrs. Ficco was a lifelong resident.
Mrs. Ficco was a graduate of Franklin High School, Perry College and Boston University.
Mrs. Ficco had been an elementary school teacher for the Town of Franklin, teaching second grade for many years. She had previously taught at the former St. Mary’s Catholic School in Franklin.
Mrs. Ficco was the former president of the St. Mary’s Catholic Women’s Club. She loved to garden and loved animals and especially loved to spend her Summer’s at her home in Falmouth.
She is survived by her son, Jay A. Ficco of Douglas. She is also survived by her sisters, Marilyn Rafferty of Naples, Florida and Carol Flaherty of Norwood. She is also survived by her grandson, Jaimi Ficco and devoted friend, Maura McFarland of Franklin.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 15 in St. Mary’s Church in Franklin at 9:00 a.m.
Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Franklin will be private.
Calling hours will be on Monday from 4-8 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin.
