Obituary

Henry A. Perretta, 81, of Manchester died July 10, 2008 at Catholic Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born in Mineola, NY on October 21, 1926, he was the son of Ralph and Josephine (Ioveno) Perretta. He grew up in Westbury, Long Island, NY, then lived in Endicott, NY, North Easton, MA, Hanover, PA and Amherst many years before moving to Manchester in 2007.
During World War II he served in the US Navy.
Mr. Perretta worked as an account executive for J.F. McElwain Shoe Company for many years.
He sang in the choirs of the many churches at which he had been a parishioner. He also enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the senior league at Ponemah Greens in Amherst.
The family includes his wife of 60 years, Florence (Parillo) Perretta of Manchester; four children, Cecile Perretta of Manchester, Henry A. Perretta of Alexandria, VA, Christopher Perretta of New York, NY and Amelia P. Farnum of Dummerston, VT; five grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday, July 14, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Rd., Bedford. Burial was in Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, LINY at a later date.
