Worcester—Jean Benglian Simonian, 74, died Friday, July 11, 2008, in Holy Trinity Nursing Home. She leaves a son, John E. Benglian, Jr., of Shrewsbury; a daughter, Ani Benglian-Simonian of Los Angeles; two brothers, Richard M. Simonian of Worcester and Edward Simonian and his wife Karen of Nantucket; a sister, Carolyn Moberly of Worcester; and several nieces and nephews.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of Avedis K. and Rose (Hightaian) Simonian. She was a graduate of Classical High School, Clark University, and attended Radcliffe College. Jean was a manager for New England Telephone Company and a member of the Armenian Church of The Martyrs. She was a classical pianist and taught piano. Some of the happiest times of her life were spent attending concerts at Tanglewood.
Private funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 16, 10:00 a.m., at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery.
