Marie Jeanne Murdock, 98 of Laconia died March 13, 2003 in the Genesis Eldercare Network, Laconia Center. She was born in St. Henedine, Quebec on November 10, 1904, the daughter of Joseph and Marie (Lacasse) Labbe and had resided in Laconia for most of her life. She was the widow of Harry S. Murdock who died in 1980
Prior to her retirement in 1979, she had been employed as a waitress at Busy Corner Variety, the cafeteria at the Laconia Clinic, Keller’s Restaurant for twenty years and at the Goody Good Doughnut Shop.
Mrs. Murdock was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, the Canado’s, the parish Arts & Crafts Group and the ACA.
Family members include a sister, Bertrande Burt of Laconia; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A calling hour was held in the Simoneau & Lambert Funeral Home, 139 Church St. Tuesday from 8 to 9 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial followed in Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Ave. Rev. Adrien Longchamps, Pastor was the celebrant. Spring burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Timothy C. Molan and David L. Furber were the funeral directors.
