
Mrs. Celia Whittle Piper, 95, of Fitzgerald, died Tuesday, July 8 at the Life Care Center in Fitzgerald.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Saturday, July 12 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Friday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Piper was born April 29, 1913 in Ben Hill County to the late William T. and Nora Carroll Whittle. She lived in the community all of her life, retiring as Probate Judge for Ben Hill County in 1980 and was a member of the Probate Judge Association Of Georgia. Mrs. Piper was a member of the First Baptist Church, Ladies Of Nasah and was a former member of the Garden Club.
Mrs. Piper is survived by several Nieces and nephews, Jean (James) Griffin of Fitzgerald, Lynn Whittle (Buck) Heard of Moultrie, Robbie (Missy) Davis, Ronnie Davis, Tommy (Mary Ann) Whittle and Gene (Diane) Whittle all of Savannah. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Linus L. Piper, 3 brothers and 1 sister
