
TAUNTON - Antonio B. Pina, formerly of Taunton, died at Life Care Center of Raynham on July 8th at the age of 83. Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late Antonio B. and Eusenia (Barboza) Pina. Educated in Taunton schools, he later served in the U.S Army during WW II. A machine operator for the former F. B. Rogers Silver Co. for several years, he retired in 1990 due to disability. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church and a member of the Ideal Club of Bridgewater. He leaves 3 sisters, Lillian Rodrigues, Adeline Miranda, and Agnes Barboza, all of Taunton and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Mary Hyatt Nunes, Mabel Nereu, Julio Pina and Joseph Pina. His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Saturday, July 12th at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary’s Church at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Mayflower Hill Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours will be Friday, from 5 to 8 p.m.
