Joseph E. Morrissey Jr., 59, of Ministerial Road, Windham, NH died Wednesday March 12, 2003 at his home. He was born on December 2, 1943 in Boston, MA a son of the late Joseph E. and Margaret (Duggan) Morrissey Sr. He was a resident of Windham for 25 years, formerly living in Randolph, MA and Wilmington, MA. He grew up in Charlestown, MA where he graduated from Charlestown High School. He was a US Army veteran who was stationed in Korea. He was employed with the United States Postal Service in South Boston for 25 years, retiring as a supervisor. He enjoyed time spent with his family and his dog Draven.
He is survived by his wife Sandra (Prouty) Morrissey, Windham, one daughter, Jennifer E. Morrissey, Derry, NH, one son Joseph E. Morrissey III, Windham, and his mother-in-law, Sylvia Prouty, Windham.
Calling hours will be Monday March 17th from 7 – 9 pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 9:30am at the Cemetery on the Plain, Windham. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack St., Bldg 9, Lawrence, MA 01843.
