Obituary

DRACUT - Frank J. Krawczyk, 76, a well known, active member of the Dracut community died unexpectedly Friday July 4th. He was the beloved husband of Dolores "Dolly" (Gazda) Krawczyk of Dracut for 50 years. A devoted father, he enjoyed spending time with his large family.

Born in Dracut on April 17, 1932, he was the son of the late Frank and Loretta (Gamache) Krawczyk. He received his early education at St. Michael's School and was a graduate of Keith Academy Class of 1949. He went on to earn his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1954 and earned his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Lowell in 1981.

An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country as a Captain in the United States Air Force.

Frank was employed as a Mechanical Engineer by MIT Draper Lab, Inc. for over 20 years. He continued his career with the Raytheon Company and retired in 1992. He was also a Professor of Statistics teaching night classes at the University of Lowell.

Active in the Town of Dracut, Frank served as Town Moderator for over 15 years. He was a member of the Dracut School Committee and the Lowell Regional Vocational School Planning Committee. He was the former director and president of the Dracut Lions Club and a member of the Dracut Knights of Columbus and the Dracut American Legion Post 315. Frank was also an active communicant of the former Ste. Therese Church in Dracut where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and former president of the Men's Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Michael Krawczyk of Dracut, six daughters and three sons-in-law: Susan and Peter Natsios of Dracut, Sharon Krawczyk of Dunstable, Sandra and Earl Mason of Tyngsboro, Joanne Krawczyk of Dunstable, Janice Krawczyk of Brentwood, NH and Joyce and Joe Cancilla of Tyngsboro; six grandchildren Joanna and Jennifer Natsios, Lauren and Bryan Mason and Trevor and Brandon Cancilla; one sister and brother-in-law Ethel and Armand Leboeuf of Gilmanton, NH; one sister-in-law Celine Krawczyk of Dracut; one uncle Robert Proulx of Dracut; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Frank S. Krawczyk and his brother, Richard A. “Dick” Krawczyk.

Friends may call at DRACUT FUNERAL HOME 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Thursday from 4 until 8 PM. His Funeral will be held from the funeral home on Friday at 9:30 AM followed by his Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 216 E. Dunstable Rd., NASHUA, NH. Interment will be at Central Cemetery, Dunstable. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the "Frank J. Krawczyk Memorial Fund," Dracut Scholarship Foundation, P.O.
