Julia R. (Garrand) Plante, 94, of Westport, MA passed away Monday, July 7, 2008 at Cape Cod Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Bourne, MA. She was widow of Norman F. Plante.
Born in Greenfield, MA, daughter of the late Wallace H. and Elizabeth (Haeussler) Garrand, she had summered in Westport since 1957 until moving to Westport permanently in 1972. Mrs. Plante was a 1931 graduate of Turners Falls High School in Montague, MA and a 1935 graduate of North Hampton Commercial College in North Hampton, MA.
Survivors include 2 sons: Gary N. Plante of Lillian, AL and Steven L. Plante of Portsmouth, NH; 2 daughters: Norma M. Dator of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada and Karen E. Sanger of Bourne, MA; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was mother of the late Pamela L. Plante who passed away in 1993 and sister of the late Lloyd Garrand, Paul Garrand and Willard Garrand.
Private graveside services under the direction of the will be held at the convenience of the family.
