Obituary

Josephine (Cataldo) Antonucci, of Medford, died Wednesday at home in the company of her loving family. She was 87.
Josephine was born and raised in Boston’s North End, she was the daughter of the late Arcangelo and Clementina (Rizzo) Cataldo. She came to Medford with her family at the age of seven. She graduated from Medford High with the class of 1939. In her early years she worked with her family in their confectionary business in the North End, the former Liberty Chocolate. She was also a hairdresser at a Boston Salon. Once married she left the work force and dedicated her self to raising her daughter. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and friend to many.
She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Antonucci. She was a loving mother to Sandra Antonucci of Quincy and her companion David Tonner. She was a dear sister to Gloria Ferullo of Winthrop, Louise DiCarlo of Stoneham, Angelo “Junior” Cataldo of Quincy, Richard Cataldo of Stoneham, and the late Emma Baliestiero, Lil DiMarino, Nora Giovanangelo, Dorothy Gaynor and Robert Cataldo. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent in Josephine´s name to the charity of One´s choice.
