Lillie Mae Edge, 91, of Tift County, died Friday, July 4 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Monday, July 7 at Bethel Baptist Church in Irwin County with Rev. Tracy Clements and Rev. Marian Atkinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Sunday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Edge was born July 3, 1917 in Christmas, Florida to the late Daniel and Maude Hancock. She was a homemaker and lived in Georgia for the past 50 years. She was a former resident of Ocilla, Fitzgerald, Ashburn, and Tifton. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
She is survived by four daughters: Charlene Tatum of Tifton, Patricia Southard of Ashburn, Charlotte Harper of Macon, and Bonnie Jones of Tifton; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; one sister: Clara Streetman of Tennessee; and two brothers: Percy Hancock of Louisiana and Jackson Hancock of Deland, Florida. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Theodore M. Edge; two sons: David Elixson and Manuel Edge; two sisters and four brothers.
