Obituary

PEABODY: Susanna J. (Carter) Salmi, 60, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at her home in Peabody.
Born in Gloucester on April 9, 1948, she was the daughter of the late James H. and Lillian E. (Rose) Carter. She had resided in Salem and Gloucester for many years before moving to Peabody six years ago.
Susanna was employed as a nurse’s aid for many years at several Cape Ann nursing homes and had also worked for several years as a home health aid. Susanna was best known for her love of boutiquing throughout Peabody and Salem as well as socializing at the Pioneer House in Salem.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda L. and James R. Skinner and Jeanette Salmi all of Gloucester, four grandchildren, Cpl. Curtis J. Skinner, U.S.M.C., currently stationed at Camp Pendleton in San Diego, Sherry R. Skinner, Jeremie P. Dagley and Andrea L. Dagley all of Gloucester, several nieces and nephews and her longtime friend, Judy Garland of Nashua, NH.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester from 5 – 7 P.M. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
