Salvatore Favuzza, age 65 of Woburn formerly of East Boston died following a lengthy illness Tuesday, July 1st, at the Winchester Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Lina (Mattaliano) Favuzza. Born in Sicily he was the son of the late Saveria (DiMaria) and Vito Favuzza.
Salvatore came to the United States as a young man and lived for a number of years in East Boston before moving to and settling in Woburn. Salvatore worked for many years as a maintenance and construction worker at Newbury College and Boston University. Mostly devoted to his loving family, Salvatore was a hard working man and enjoyed building and making things, working in his garden, spending time with his family and his dog "Bruno" .
In addition to his beloved wife, Lina. Salvatore is survived by his sons, Giulio Favuzza, Carmen Favuzza and his fiancé Sharna, Robert Favuzza and his fiancé Erica all of Woburn. He is also survived by his brother Frank Favuzza, and a sister, Sara Agri, both of Woburn.
His funeral will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Thursday, at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Church, 280 Main St. Woburn, at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday, 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, Malden.
