WEBSTER – Barbara M. (Mrozinski) Ostrowski, 78, of 13 Emerald Ave., died Monday, June 30, in UMass/Memorial Healthcare, Worcester, after being stricken ill at home. Her husband of 54 years, Stanley E. Ostrowski, died in 2003.
She leaves a son, Leonard S. Ostrowski and his wife Julianne of Webster; 4 grandchildren, Angela Giroux, Amy Brissenden, Amanda Ostrowski and Andrew Ostrowski; a great grandson, Jake Giroux; nieces and nephews. She was eagerly awaiting the birth of her second great grandchild in July.
She was born in Webster, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Nowak) Mrozinski, and lived here all her life. She attended Bartlett High School.
Mrs. Ostrowski worked in the sample department at Cranston Print Works Company for 42 years before she retired in 1989.
She was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica. She was a prolific reader. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and especially with her great grandson.
The funeral will be held Saturday, July 5, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace. Calling hours are from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, July 4, in the funeral home. Donations in her name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 1132, Fairfax, VA 22038.
