Hetty A. (Thompson) Vaughan, 78, of New Bedford, formerly of Fisher Rd., Dartmouth passed away Sunday, June 29, 2008 at Hathaway Manor. She was the widow of James E. Vaughan, Jr.
Born in New Bedford, she was daughter of the late William and Ethel (Cunningham) Thompson. Prior to retirement in 1984, she was a licensed practical nurse for various nursing homes. Mrs. Vaughan enjoyed bingo and collecting antiques.
Survivors include 2 sons: Nelson J. Vaughan of Dartmouth and James T. Vaughan of Somerset; a daughter: Deborah Robeson of FL; 2 sisters: Harriet Howland of Acushnet and Ethel Crumley of Dartmouth; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was sister of the late John Thompson.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, July 3, 2008 at Potter Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Wednesday 5 - 8 P.M.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
