Ms. Annie Belle Johnson was born July 23, 1930 to the late Mrs. Rosie L. Hewlett. She departed this life on June 28, 2008 at Huntsville Hospital.
Annie Belle accepted Christ at an early age and was truly devoted to the First Seventh Day Adventist Church of Huntsville, Alabama.
Annie graduated from the Lincoln School of Practical Nursing on September 14, 1951 with a degree in Practical Nursing with special emphasis on Advanced Baby Nursing. She dedicated many years of love, devotion and care to the Belchers and The Jofforion families, and was loved, cherished and prayed for by many family members, friends, neighbors and coworkers.
Annie was always warm hearted, full of joyful words and of sound advice and would go an extra mile for anyone.
Annie lived her life as Christ did, loving and caring for her fellow relatives, brothers and sisters.
Annie Belle leaves to cherish her memories her sister Dora L. (William) Hewlett, niece, Karla R. Prater; great niece, Remeika P. Edwards, great-great nieces Tamara A. Edwards and Tieara L. Edwards; great-great nephew, Tavoris L. Douglas, great uncle, Isom (Fannie) Fearn of Lemon Grove, CA; dear cousin Annie Mae Moore of Cleveland, OH; thoughtful and caring friends Corrine Kelley, Mr. Robert and Mrs. Eula Drake, Lillie Ann Steger, Betsey Hughes, Mildred Otey and a host of friends and loved ones.
Funeral services for Ms. Johnson will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 6, 2008 from the First Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Benjamin Jones officiating. Interment will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens. The Johnson family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2008 from the Nelms Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. The remains of Ms. Johnson will be in the church one hour prior to funeral time.
