GARDNER—Eugene McElholm, 53 years old, died Tuesday March 4th, at the Quabbin Valley Health Care Center, in Athol, after a long illness.
He was born in Lowell on September 21, 1949, a son of the late Joseph L. and Doris (Queenan) McElholm and was a graduate of Lowell High School.
Mr. McElholm had been employed by the Gas Company, in Lowell, as a Pipe fitter, and more recently by the S. Bent Brothers Furniture Company, in Gardner.
Surviving him are his sister: Joanne McGann, of Lee, NH; three nephews: Sean, Christopher and Michael McGann, all of Lee, NH; his step-mother: Margaret (Condrey) McElholm; his aunt: Mary McElholm, formerly of Lowell; and his cousin: James and Barbara McElholm of Oxford.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 16th, at 3 PM at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). Private Burial at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Gardner V.N.A.; 34 Pearly Lane; Gardner, MA 03824.
