Obituary

Chanel Patrick Therrien, 76, a resident of Lawrence, MA., passed away on Friday, June 27, 2008 at the Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre in Methuen.

Mr. Therrien was born in Lawrence and had retired from the Polaroid Corporation where he had worked as a machinist. Prior to that he had worked at Bolton Emerson as a machinist, and at Larry's Woodworking as a cabinet maker and finish carpenter. Mr. Therrien was a United States Army Veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. He obtained the rank of Sergeant and was the recipient of both the Purple Heart and the Bronze Service Star. Mr. Therrien was a member of the Methuen V.F.W. as well as a parishioner of St. Patrick's Church in Lawrence.

The son of the late Desire and Leda (LaBelle) Therrien as well as the husband of the late Pauline (Maher) Therrien who passed away in 1984, members of Mr. Therrien's family include:

his wife: Lucille (Couture) Therrien
his children: Pamela Mesquita and her husband David of Andover, MA. Patricia Dore and her husband John of Methuen, MA., Douglas Therrien and his wife Joan and Tammy Wilson and her husband Chuck all of New Hampshire.
his stepchildren: Lynn Barry and her husband Robert of Methuen, MA., Judy Kearns and her husband Mark of NH., Rena Dupuis of Florida as well as Robert Couture also of Florida.
Mr. Therrien is also survived by his grandchildren: John, Andrew, Phillip, Nick, James, Paul, Danielle, Gary, Natalie, Jacob, Amanda, Felicia, Rob, Nick, Mackenzie, Kim, Kristy and Kenny as well as his great-grandchildren: Kalina, John Eric, Emma Rose, Shane and Hailey.
He is also survived by his sisters: Delores Mann of Evansville IN., and Gloria Paolino.
Mr. Therrien was Stepfather to the late Lorraine Bellemore who was married to Kenny Bellemore of Lawrence, MA. He was also brother to the late Odelie Martell, Lorraine Lench, Marie LaRochelle, Gerard Therrien, John Therrien and Desire (Joe) Therrien.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at 9:00 A.M. in St. Patrick's Church in Lawrence.
Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Andover. Family and friends may call on Monday, June 30, 2008 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence.
