Obituary

John W. Kornichuk, 89, of Manchester, died June 24, 2008, at St. Theresa Manor, after a brief illness.
He was born in Brooklyn NY, March 23, 1919, and was the son of Joseph and Mary (Dusenko) Kornichuk. John was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Parish.
John received his early education from his beloved Brooklyn NY schools, and in 1941 went on to serve in WWII with the United States Army. Upon his return from the war in 1945 John began working for the C.J. O’Brien and later the Robinson Printing company where he was a plant supervisor. He was a member of Local 6 of the printers union in New York City. In the 1980’s John and his wife moved to NH and have resided here ever since.
John never met a stranger. He will be remembered for his kind words, wonderful sense of humor, and his love of the Brooklyn Dodgers.
He was predeceased by his son Gregory Kornichuk, in October of 2005.
Family members include his wife, Geraldine(Harker) Kornichuk, of Manchester; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday, June 28, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Meetinghouse Rd. Bedford.
Burial took place in St. Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald St. Bedford.
