METHUEN – Norma L. (Baldwin) Ash 86 died Sunday June 22, 2008 at Caritas Holy Family Hospital.
Born and educated in Methuen, where she was a lifelong resident, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Elizabeth Baldwin . She was a graduate of the Edward F. Searles High School. During World War II she served in the U.S. Coast Guard and was honorably discharged with the rank of Seaman Second Class, (Women’s Reserve).
A devoted mother she raised her children alone after the death of her husband and her children recall how family was most important to her.
The widow of Thomas F. Ash, Jr., she is survived by her children Robert F. Ash and his wife Karen of Dracut, MA, Frederick R. Ash and his wife Carla of Groveland, MA and Michael J. Ash of Methuen.

Grandchildren Frederick Ash, Jr., Michael Ash, and Shane Ash and several great-grandchildren.
Nephew James Baldwin and his wife Debbie.
Norma was predeceased by her son Thomas F. Ash III.
ARRANGEMENTS: In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Heart Association 20 Speen Street framingham, MA 01701-4688. At the request of the family there are no calling hours. A funeral service will take place on Friday at 11:00a.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA. Burial will take place at a later date at the families convenience.
