Obituary

Anne P. Vaughan ,93, died peacefully at Woodbriar of Wilmington on Monday June 23rd surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Hugh F. Vaughan.
Born in Springfield Anne was the daughter of the late Joseph and Eleonora (Ferioli) Pezzini. She graduated from West Springfield High School and volunteered with the United States Army Motor Corps during WWII. Following the war Anne and her husband settled in the Agawam area of Springfield where they began to raise their children.
In 1960 the family moved to Winchester where Anne became a member of St. Mary’s Parish and The Winchester Seniors Association. Following her husbands retirement the couple traveled all over Europe, China, Japan and the United States. She was a loving mother grandmother and great grandmother who loved baking and spending time with her family.
Anne is survived by her 3 children and their spouses, Joanne V. Pease and her husband Edward of Jackson, NJ, H.A. “Buddy” Vaughan and his wife Betsy Leavitt of Dover, NH and Maryanne V. Saunders and her husband David of Woburn. She was the sister of the late Anthony Pezzini and sister in law of Helen DesForges of West Springfield. Also survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer Cobat, Brandon Saunders, Ben Vaughan and her great grandchildren, Nicole, Kaitlyn and Karlee Cobat.
Her funeral will be held from the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester on Friday June 27th at 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester at 10AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Thurs. from 5-8PM. Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Dana Faber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th floor, Brookline, MA 02445.
