Lorraine M. Voyer, 66, of Bouvier Ave., Manville, died Wednesday at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Henry W. Voyer.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Michel and Rosa (Pontbriand) Laprade. She was a lifelong resident of Manville.
Mrs. Voyer worked in the housekeeping department at The Holiday in Manville for many years. She previously worked for Finklestien's, and American Tourister in Albion and Woonsocket.
She was a lifelong communicant of St. James Church, and enjoyed playing bingo and cards. Lorraine was a staunch Red Sox fan.
She is survived by three sons, Robert M. Voyer, of Manville, Roger H. Voyer, of Burrillville, and Raymond G. Voyer, of Smithfield, and three grandchildren, Ryan Voyer, Jason Voyer, and Jessica Voyer. She was the sister of Simone Leclerc, of Manville, Claire Millette, of Cumberland, and the late Paul, Rosario, Roger, and Constant “Cy” Laprade. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be Tuesday at 9:00 am from the Menard Funeral Home, 71 Central St., Manville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. James Church, Division St., Manville. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Manville. Visiting hours are Monday from 5-8 pm. Memorial donations may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Pl.
