Virginia L. Murby, 67, of Tavares, FL and Hampton, NH, died March 7, 2003, in Manchester, NH, after a long illness.
Born in Lake City, Fl, January 3, 1936, she was the daughter of Leyland and Mary (Register) Thomas.
She was the widow of retired Manchester Police Deputy Chief Kenneth C. Murby, who died in 1995.
Mrs. Murby had worked as a waitress at the Chateau Restaurant, formerly know as Aurora’s, for many years prior to her retirement.
She enjoyed reading mysteries and eating vanilla ice cream. She had a great respect for all animals great and small. Her greatest accomplishment was raising her children. She was a devoted wife, mother, mother in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister.
Family members include five children, Linda L. Miccio of Manchester, NH, Kenneth R. Murby of Hooksett, NH, John T. Murby of Manchester, NH, David C. Murby of Hampton, NH, and Cynthia Thomas of Jacksonville, FL; three granddaughters, one grandson, and one great grandson; two brothers, Howard Thomas, and Robert Thomas, both of Jacksonville, FL;
The funeral was Wednesday March 12, 2003 in the funeral home. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester, NH.
