O’BRIEN, RICHARD J. “Dicka” – Formerly of Roslindale, Age 38, June 17,2008, deeply loved Father, Son and Brother, succumbed to a battle with a long standing illness.Former Suffolk County Deputy Sheriff. He will always be remembered for his contagious laughter, his friendly demeanor and his sensitive heart. He leaves behind his beloved daughter, Samantha O’Brien, of the North End. Devoted mother, Margaret “Peg” (Hynes) O’Brien of Ft. Myers, FL (formerly of West Roxbury) & the late Richard G. O’Brien, sister, Ellen Munroe and William of Medway; brothers Michael of Sunapee, NH, Paul (B.P.D.)& Katherine of Franklin, MA & John of Scottsdale, AZ. He also leaves behind three nieces, Kelly, Nicole and Mary Margaret. Four nephews, Patrick, Sean, Brendan and Kieran. He will be missed. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St., West Roxbury on Monday June 23, 2008 at 10 am followed by a funeral mass in St. John Chrysostom Church ,4750 Washington St., West Roxbury at 11 o’clock.
