Alva M. Arvidson, 95, of Hoodkroft Dr., Derry died Saturday March 8, 2003 at the Birchwood Nursing Home, Derry following a brief illness. Mrs. Arvidson was born in Goterberg, Sweden on January 26, 1908 the daughter of the late Axel and Anna (Olson) Wiberg. She had resided in Derry for more than 50 years, formerly living in East Lempster, NH.
She is survived by her son, Rev. Ebbe R. Arvidson, Bradenton, FL, two daughters, Vera Arvidson, Derry, Erna Johnson, Mesa, AZ, four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Ebbe W. Arvidson in 1985.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 13th at 1:00pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Friends may call on Thursday from 12:00 – 1:00pm. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry in the spring. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Rockingham VNA and Hospice, 137 Epping Rd., Exeter, NH 03833 or to the charity of one's choice.
