Obituary

Alfred Floriddia age 89 of Salem, NH, died Tuesday at the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH.

He was born in Lawrence, MA, the son of the late Peter & Catherine (Torrisi) Floriddia. He grew up and attended schools in Lawrence and was a resident of Salem, NH for the past 9 years, formerly of Methuen.

Alfred was a cook for Cedar Crest Restaurant and several area restaurants in the Merrimack Valley area. He was a Disabled US Navy World War II Veteran. He was a member of the IACA & Pontiac Club in Lawrence, MA. He was an active member of GA (Gamblers Anonymous) for 16 years. He was an avid Red Sox fan, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife Jean M. (Anderson) Floriddia. He was also predeceased by a brother & sister in law Gene & Lucille Floriddia, and Close Friend Dorothy Byrd.

He is survived by 2 Sons: Peter & his Wife Denise Floriddia of Salem, NH
Gary Floriddia of Colorado

1 Daughter: Cathy Teague of Flint, MI

2 Step Sons: Edward Hardy & Family of Pensacola, FL
Keith Sciacca & Family of Tampa, FL

1 Sister: Mary Viti of Salisbury, MA

8 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces & Nephews

Memorial visitation will be held Friday, June 20 from 4-8 PM, with a Memorial Service at 7 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH.
